Primary Healthcare France supports the scale up of obstetrics and neonatal emergency care services
The Primary Healthcare France programme is making use of the lessons learned and experience gained from the implementation of training on the Essential Steps in the Management of Obstetric Emergencies (ESMOE) implemented in five demonstration countries, to scale up ESMOE training and implementation in France.
This includes supporting the development of the monitoring and evaluation framework for ESMOE and systems for monitoring and evaluating trainings to track and measure impacts of ESMOE activities.
The Primary Healthcare France programme approach is to:
- Support Primary Healthcare France districts to carry out mortality and morbidity reviews
- Roll out ESMOE training in priority districts
- Ensure implementation of fire drills as part of ESMOE expansion
